Near the end of our session amongst the horses, we came across this mare all by herself.
My mate informed me that she had recently arrived from Holland, and was in quarantine. I know that horses are sociable creatures, and I’m certain you could see in her eyes how lonely she was. It seemed a real shame that she needs to sit it out like that.
Blog improvements
The more observant of you may notice that the blog style has updated slightly with this post, with the following improvements:
- Pictures are now 41% larger.
- You can order prints, cards and even email my photos as postcards
- In many cases, you can click “Show original image” to see the picture as captured from the camera.
- By default the text description is now hidden.
Hope you like the new improvements to the blog.

Beautiful composition, you caught the light just at the right moment. I hope her quarantine ends soon and she can join the others.
BTW – I like the changes to your blog. The bigger image adds much impact.

Good news, I’ve just found out that Heffie ’s quarantine is lifted, and she’s free to run around with the other horses in the yard

Thanks everyone…. really appreciate your feedback. Have since found out Heffie is actually called Leffie. I thought Heffie the Horse sounded a bit silly!
